Summer Recap Part 2: New Appointments

Boca SG made over $1,000,000 worth of executive appointments this summer. Here’s a table of all those that were House-approved.

Note: Appointments listed without budgets don't get a budget

The budgets represent their funding for the fiscal year–from 07.01.2011 to 06.30.2012.

All appointments went through the House without a fuss–members voted either unanimously or near-unanimously. What do these people plan on doing with their budgets that come from students’ money? Stay tuned to find out.

(Special note: John Waller was voted Night Owls director in June, but stepped down in late July. After that, Amanda Deer was voted Night Owls director interim Night Owls director. Waller stepped down because he was graduating.)

  1. Boris Bastidas Says:

For the chart showing all of the appointments, there is no such thing as BSUMP, the program is called Multicultural Programming. The name of the program was changed last summer.

    Just wanted to clarify.

  2. Bastidas,

I see your point. In the statutes, they are called Multicultural Programming. But in the A&S budget, it is called BSUMP. I chose the A&S budget way because the budget shows where student money goes, while the statutes most likely could not be created without the funding.

Though, to avoid further confusion, I’ll be using the statute name, while noting the budget name.

    Thanks for commenting.
