About the Writer
Brandon Ballenger, 23, is a graduate student in the Communication program at FAU. He’s been on the SG beat for the University Press since June 2008 and began blogging about SG in November 2008. He previously worked as copy desk chief for the paper.
He teaches Public Speaking and is also editorial assistant for the academic journal Controversia, which focuses on argumentation and democratic processes.
Brandon spends his scarce free time on Skype talking with his girlfriend — who currently lives in New Zealand — or reading, often fantasy and science fiction.
