Legislative Update [Boca House of Representatives April 13, 2012 Edition]
Last Friday the BHOR approved of buying paintball guns, rope, and a room for a career seminar. This legislative update is brought to you by UP reporter Dylan Bouscher.
LEGISLATION
Old Business
BRHR-12-04: “A Resolution Supporting the Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act” won’t be brought up again after being tabled indefinitely.
BRHB-11-08: “Boca Raton Campus Budget Allocations 2012-2013 Fiscal Year” passed unanimously. The bill approves the Campus Budget and Appropriations Committee budget for next year.
BRHB-12-10: “Dare to be Prepared 2012” also passed unanimously. The bill allocates $1,456.50 to reserve a room for the “Dare to be Prepared” career seminar, which will be on May 14.
New Business
BRHB-12-10: “FAU Army ROTC Request” passed unanimously. The bill allocates $1,873 to ROTC to buy paintball guns and a rope for training.
OTHER NEWS
Representative Anthony Knight was voted and sworn in during an in-house election.
